Advocate: One who pleads in another’s behalf.
Nurses are taught how to help the sick, assist the physician, and above all be patient advocates. These links offer the emotional support of knowing we’re not alone facing a problem, that we can network with others that share our lot and empathize with us. This can improve our health and allow all of us the fortitude to be better advocates.
AllerNurse would like to speak out on behalf of all the children with allergies that have parents that smoke.
Parents, if you can’t stop smoking for yourself, do it for them. At least not smoking in the home or the car with your allergic child has the potential of improving their condition 50% or more.
