Our Philosophy
AllerNurse believes the more knowledge a patient and healthcare provider have about allergies and its treatments, the better prepared they will be to control the symptoms of allergy.
The major causes of allergy symptoms in an individual can be more easily identified and controlled, if the patient and care-giver are armed with this information. To get the most benefit from having this data, they must keep the lines of communication open between them.
Allergies and the complications they create are possibly the most dynamic of all medical problems. That is to say, many factors may interact at once that affect the onset, degree, and duration of symptoms; as well as the effectiveness of any treatment approach.
No single approach to treatment is appropriate or effective for everyone suffering with allergies. We feel the more pro-active and individualized the care, the greater chance there is of preventing and controlling the symptoms. Thus, it is with a thorough understanding of the problem and the proper application of effective treatment measures by the patient/care-giver team that the best results are obtained.
Until a cure is found, targeted specific immunotherapy remains the only treatment that alters the course of allergic disease. Prevention of symptoms by avoiding exposure and effective control of the symptoms, remain the best approaches available for treatment.
